Accordion shutters are popular on the Gulf Coast because they provide dependable hurricane protection without the hassle of storing and installing separate panels before every storm. They remain attached beside the opening when not in use, then fold across and lock into place when severe weather is on the way. For homeowners who want practical protection that is ready when they need it, accordion shutters are a strong fit for coastal living.
